순수수경(Water culture)은 스마트팜에서 식물을 고형 배지 없는 배양액에서 성장시키는 방법을 의미합니다. 이는 다양한 형태로 나타날 수 있는데, 주로 담액수경, 박막수경, 분무수경, 모세관수경 등으로 구분됩니다.
담액수경은 식물의 뿌리를 배양액에 담그는 방식으로, 풍부한 영양분을 포함한 배양액을 사용하여 식물을 키우는 방법입니다. 박막수경은 물방울을 투여하여 뿌리가 물방울을 풍부하게 공급받는 방식으로, 작은 플라스틱 필름에 식물을 배양하는 방식입니다. 분무수경은 작은 입자의 물방울을 식물 주변에 분사하여 공기 중에서 뿌리가 수분과 영양분을 흡수하게 하는 방식입니다. 마지막으로 모세관수경은 뿌리 주위에 얇은 모세관을 둘러 배양액을 공급하는 방식입니다.

Water culture

Deep water culture involves suspending plant roots in a nutrient-rich solution, allowing them to directly absorb nutrients. Raft culture utilizes buoyant platforms on which plants float, with their roots submerged in the nutrient solution. Aeroponics sprays fine water droplets around the roots, enabling plants to absorb nutrients and moisture from the air. Capillary hydroponics employs thin capillaries to deliver the nutrient solution directly to the roots.
These water culture methods supply essential nutrients and moisture directly to the plants through a liquid medium, replacing traditional soil. With various hydroponic techniques developed, smart farms are adopting these methods for efficient plant cultivation.
